Presentation Synopsis - Complex innovation programmes to deliver a future decarbonised world
The Hy4Heat programme set out to explore the decarbonisation of gas networks through establishing if it is technically possible, safe and convenient to replace methane with hydrogen in residential and commercial buildings.
Given the minimal prior relevant work done in this field, and a context of many interested stakeholders, priorities for the programme included:
- undertaking broad industry engagement and involving a diverse group of technical experts
- putting in place good governance
- open sharing of information / providing consistent communications
- ensuring a flexible approach to milestone delivery & approval
Heidi and Marie will discuss the programme management skills and expertise that has supported in delivering Hy4Heat during a time of rapid change, in order to support the UK in decarbonising our homes and buildings.
