Coming 3 September 2024: New APM Project Management Qualification

We have introduced a new version of our flagship APM Project Management Qualification for the future development of the project profession. 

The APM Project Management Qualification is aimed at project professionals who are looking to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of all key areas of project management. 

Candidates are most likely be working in a project environment with 2-3 years of experience as a project professional or be actively undertaking a project management apprenticeship or degree. This qualification is perfect for those aiming to advance their careers, enhance their employability, and gain a broad understanding of project management without focusing on a specific methodology.

What’s new?

• 2.5 hour exam time in two parts, with an optional break of up to 30 minutes in between. 
• New accessible exam format with 40 questions that are a mix of selected and constructed response questions. 
• Aligned to the APM Competence Framework with an addition of new topics: 
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Sustainability
  • Ethics, Compliance and Professionalism
  • Transition Management

Are you currently or thinking about sitting the APM Project Management Qualification before 3 September 2024? 

Candidates who wish to sit the current APM Project Management Qualification have until 30 August to complete their exam but for those who wish to secure a resit opportunity as well, it is encouraged to sit the exam by July 2024.

All exams for the current version of the Management Qualification must be completed by 4 October 2024.
