Who cares wins: Leadership and risk management culture webinar
This presentation covered leadership styles within projects, gave expectations for delivery and execution of projects and operations. The webinar was held on 10 December 2020
Recent development programmes designed to support risk management will include leadership strategy, delivery, collaboration and engagement with teams to give a perspective on how a “duty of care” can be achieved.
The scope of the discussion focused on project lifecycle, be that from tender works or internal requirements through the planning and definition stages into execution and successful delivery. The headings listed below were examined from a reflective perspective with consideration towards future improvements and developments:

- Walking the Talk
- Reacting to change
- Futureproofing
Practical examples were offered from recent business experiences with the intent to demonstrate the need to respond to change within the energy sector on a global scale.

Laura McKenzie, Senior HSE Advisor, Subsea 7
Laura has been a project support and lead for over 13 years, working across European EPCI projects and operations being temporarily Stavanger based in support of Norwegian projects.
Recent activities have included leading the development of HSE support within decommissioning projects, managing the UK aspects of Environmental Management Systems and delivery of Subsea 7’s “Leading Safety” global programme. Laura is a Chartered Member of IOSH and Associate Member of IEMA.
Colin Sellar, HSEQ Manager, Subsea 7
Colin is the HSEQ Manager for Offshore Resources – Subsea 7’s fleet, equipment and asset management group. Previously HSE Manager for Subsea 7 UK and Canada with over 30 years’ experience of marine operations and EPCI projects.
Recent works have included development and creation of Subsea 7’s “Leading Safety” global programme delivered to +1200 leaders and supervisors across 2019/20.
Colin is a Technical Member of IOSH.
