New digital badge for our volunteers
Association for Project Management (APM) has launched a new digital badge for its volunteers to recognise their commitment to supporting the profession and to raise the visibility of the important work they do.
As a leading modern professional body, APM utilises the expertise and commitment of its volunteer community for the development and promotion of project and programme management. This includes the effective delivery of many wide-ranging activities such as events, publications and product development for the benefit of individuals, organisations and society.
Sarah Slater, Senior Volunteering Manager at APM, said: “We wanted to create something special that would recognise our exceptional volunteers. The contribution they bring by way of insights and knowledge has been a critical factor in ensuring APM remains at the cutting edge of developments across the profession. We truly are grateful for the time they dedicate. Our hope is that these unique digital badges will give an extra incentive for those looking to start out in voluntary work or wanting to expand their skillset."
The digital badge provides information about volunteering opportunities across APM. It can be shared publicly via social media platforms by using a simple code provided with each badge.
For those looking to start or expand their volunteering journey, that outlines the wide range of volunteering opportunities available.
Over the last year, APM has worked closely with its volunteer community to better understand what inspires individuals to volunteer and how their professional body could evolve to grow that inspiration. Both initiatives, the volunteering opportunities webpage and the digital badge, have been built in response to that feedback.
