I am Andrew Bell and I joined the People SIG during 2017, and I’m now chair! During my career in the automotive industry, and in academia, I have learnt that people matter in project work.

The Midlands branch was expecting a presentation on “Magic People Skills” but unfortunately the presenter was taken ill on the day of the Event.

This event, kindly hosted by AirBus at Pegasus House, Filton on Wednesday 18th April 2018, looked at what makes a high-performance team.

No project is an island and treating it as a single entity with closed boundaries can hamper successful delivery.

Are we future proof? Are our projects future proof? And most importantly are we ready for the upcoming challenges and trends that sit on our horizon? These were just some of the questions asked at APM’s Project Management Conference 2018.

APM is collaborating with the Institute for Government (IfG) on a future report highlighting how to be an effective infrastructure minister.

The fourth annual APM survey – one of the largest in our industry – continues to build a clear picture of the profession and provides a fascinating snapshot of future trends.
