Luca Sabini
Associate Professor in Project Management at the University of Leeds
Dr Luca Sabini is Associate Professor in Project Management at the university of Leeds. He holds a PhD in Management from LUISS Guido Carli University of Roma, Italy. During the PhD, he spent one year at Manchester Business School. He successfully bid for Marie Curie individual fellowship to investigate the role of the Project Management profession in developing a sustainable economy in Newcastle University Business School. This project was awarded by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) as Outstanding Research Contribution.
He has been involved in various (European and non-European) research projects in both a technical and an academic role. His main research focus is on the study of dynamics of institutionalization of new practices, in the Project Management discipline.
Before academia he has been a management consultant and currently he is a research advisor for the APM providing advice and guidance to APM’s research programme.
