Project Delivery People Team Leader, Ministry of Defence – Defence Equipment & Support

I lead a team of 16 delivering Capacity and Capability across ~3000+ employees throughout the DE&S. My team scrutinises the demand from the business and implements recruitment campaigns both internal and external to provide Project Delivery staff to the Teams. We put in place Training, Learning from Experience and peer to peer support networks in place to build the experience and capability of our people

Past Roles and Experience

  • PM for the £1.6 Billion contract to provide Platforms to two new Equipment Capability Programmes
  • PM Lead in DE&S COVID Operation Cell leading on the Recovery Plan to open the DE&S post Lockdown 1
  • Land Project Manager Functional Manager – Delivering resources to the Teams, training PMs and carrying out Independent reviews on projects
  • Deputy Team Leader for Dismounted Close Combat – managing a team of 100+ and an annual budget of ~£180M supporting Army, Navy, Air and Strategic Commands
  • Scrutiny and Approvals Desk Officer for Land and Maritime projects
  • PM for the Development of the new Aircraft Carrier Support Strategy

I am delighted to be part of this event support those in the military look to their futures and highlight the opportunities that Project Delivery and DE&S can offer. Having the skills and experience of those in the military is key in our ability to deliver to the user and having this experience transition into the organisation as civilians will make out teams, function and organisation better equipped to deliver our outputs and retain the key skills and knowledge they provide.
