Alistair Godbold is an experienced programme director with over 40 year’s experience, managing and advising companies on the set up, operation and governance of complex major projects and programmes. He has set up the governance and led the transformation of organisations to improve the delivery of major projects and programmes. He has delivered, assured and worked on projects ranging from construction, urban regeneration through IT enabled business transformations to high integrity systems, defence, rail, nuclear, aviation and mining projects in the UK and abroad. He is a regular speaker and contributor to thought pieces on developments and good practice in project delivery. 

Alistair is a Vice President of APM, he has also served as a director of APM and the Major Projects Association. He is a deputy chair of the working group for Project 13 to define good practice in the governance of major projects. He is a Fellow of APM, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Fellow of the International Centre for Complex Project Management and a member of their board. He is also a director of the Global Alliance for the Project Profession and contributes to their thought pieces. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Project Professional; in 2011 he was made an Honorary Fellow of APM for his services to project management. Alistair also served as the UK member of the council for the International Project Management Association and in 2023 was made an Honorary Fellow.
