Welcome to the APM Wessex Network.

Who we are:

The Wessex Network offers many exciting opportunities to network and learn about the latest developments in project management within the region.

What we do:

We take pride in the high level of engagement at our CPD events and are committed to maintaining this while working to increase attendance. Our events, both online and in-person, cover a range of topics from the correct application of AI to addressing sustainability.

The Project Management Challenge, originating from the Wessex region, is a cornerstone of our efforts, and we strive to uphold its reputation as a high-quality competition. We also aim to involve more corporate organisations in this initiative.

Our ultimate goal is to enhance the visibility of APM by growing membership within the Wessex region.

How to get involved:

Our membership includes the following; Corporates from various sectors (e.g. banking, building, defence), government agencies, local councils, university lecturers and students.

We’re continually onboarding and integrating new volunteers and evaluating our corporate engagement strategy,” says Deputy Network Lead Keith Hardy. “Our commitment to educational outreach continues as we engage with local universities.”

Simply follow us to stay up to date with the latest regional news, announcements, and activity.

Diversity round table report

At the end of 2023, the Chair of the Wessex branch met with colleagues from APM and several corporate partners from the region. The theme of the evening was diversity and inclusion and, for example, whether colleagues had seen project teams being created with diversity and inclusion in mind.

This report reflects the discussions from the evening and is an example of the type of event we’ll see more of as the branches become regional networks.
