Steve Moore

Director of Operations (Major Projects & Programme Delivery), Environment Agency

Following 20 years in the construction industry, Steve now helps lead the Environment Agency (EA), responsible for protecting the environment and communities.

Within the EA Steve has enjoyed a number of senior operational leadership roles, most recently his appointment as Director of Operations (Major Projects and Programme Delivery) where his role impacts a budget of over £1bn per annum, predominately relating to flood risk management.

Steve is responsible for the leadership of the EA’s programme and project delivery function and leads the collaborative relationship with the EA’s contractor and consultant national frameworks as they look to address the challenges resulting from a changing climate.

Steve is co-chair of the Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (i3P) that works across the infrastructure sector in stimulating the adoption of innovation and good practice. He has also completed the Major Projects Leadership Academy and is the SRO on government major projects.
