Stephen White

Chief Operating Officer, Santander

Stephen has recently joined the Santander UK senior management team as Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as interim CEO at Yorkshire Building Society and brings board and executive director experience.

Stephen has extensive experience as COO at Yorkshire Building Society, Allied Irish Bank Group and National Australia Bank and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of the COO role across, Transformation, Technology & Operations, Customer Service, Financial Crime, Digitization and cyber.

Before his time at YBS Stephen was COO at Allied Irish Banks Group for two years, and from 2009 to 2014 he worked in Australia in several Executive General Manager and COO roles at National Australia Bank.

Stephen is an internationally experienced COO and Executive Director with over 30 years’ experience of Financial Services, making him an excellent fit for Santander.

Stephen is married with two children aged 19 and 17 & resides in Scotland.
