Session: Managing Teams: Setting-up, Managing and Developing the PMO Team of a Growing Small Size Consulting Company

‘AlphaPlus is a small but rapidly growing Education Assessment Consultancy, starting 2020 with 20 employees rising to 55 in late 2022. Our entire business is focussed on the effective delivery of successful projects for our clients. We recognise that our success is dependent upon effective recruitment and induction of new staff and the continuous professional development (CPD) of our employees.

To continue our strong growth Project Management is a core discipline with investment in improving project management capability. Dr Nick Karamanis (Head of PMO) MAPM, has aligned AlphaPlus to industry best practice, becoming APM Corporate Partner in 2021.

By doing so, AlphaPlus attracted incredible Project Management talent through both apprenticeship and graduate recruitment and developed a supported CPD path with emphasis on the project management discipline, that mandates all our x13 Project Managers to be active APM members and acquire APM professional qualifications towards Chartered status (ChPP).
