Dr Karen Thompson

Dr Karen Thompson, FSI FAPM FHEA is an award-winning project management educator and co-founder of Responsible Project Management. She is a member of the British Standards Institute Committee for Project Controls, member of the Project Management Institute Curriculum Review Committee, and adjunct faculty member at the universities of Southampton and Portsmouth.

Karen worked on projects in the field of information systems and technology for 17 years before moving into academia with education, research, and management responsibilities.

In 2017 she was awarded a PhD in Project Management from Bournemouth University. Today the focus of her work is developing new competencies and skills required for managing project that deliver beneficial outcomes for people, planet, and prosperity.
