Charlotte Townsend

Managing Consultant, PA Consulting & MOD

Charlotte specialises in the psychology and neuroscience of human behaviour and how this impacts organizational performance, particularly major programmes in Defence and Security. She was the lead author for Psychological Safety in MOD Major Projects - GOV.UK and has worked with programmes and teams in Defence and beyond using psychological safety as a route to high performing programme teams. Her work with programmes has been recognised in IPA reviews and one of the teams she worked with achieved the Chief of Air Staff New years commendation for 2023.

Charlotte holds an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, another in Security (focusing on peacebuilding and post-conflict development), and is a certified Fearless Org practitioner and is working towards full ICF coaching accreditation. She has worked for PA for over 10 years across the breadth of the programme lifecycle, and prior to that has experience in the charity sector and financial services.
