APM Regional Network Awards 2025 celebrates the achievements of project professionals and students within their local APM Regional Network community for the following two awards:
APM Student of the Year 2025 for those currently in school, college or university who have completed a project or programme within the past three years.
APM Emerging Project Professional 2025 for early career project professionals who have completed a project or programme within their company.
Entry deadline: Friday 31 January 2025

APM Student of the Year 2025
APM judges are looking for candidates to showcase their achievements with a specific project completed, within the last three years, in or out of school, college or university or while on placement.
The candidates should illustrate the project management steps undertaken, the results and benefits of their actions and the lessons learned. Submissions should consider how they are linked to APM’s Competence Framework.
APM Regional Network level winners will be entered into a national final and the winner will be announced at the APM Education Awards in 2025.
Who should enter?
APM Student of the Year 2025 is open to all full-time or part-time students aged 16 or over who have been part of a project.

APM Emerging Project Professional 2025
The judges are looking for project practitioners who are demonstrating excellence in the delivery of their project(s) and/or programme(s), showing thoughtful engagement with the companies and clients they work with, and contributing to the profession more widely.
This award is open to project, programme or portfolio managers and practitioners aged 29 years or under at the entry closing date, or over 29 years of age at the entry closing date with less than three years’ experience in their project management career.
This competition will provide entrants a platform to share their successes with the Project Management community, whilst engaging with other fellow future project professionals.
Who should enter?
APM Emerging Project Professional 2025 is open to full-time project professionals working in any sector who have up to five years' experience.

How to get involved
The APM judges are looking for the story behind the person who has delivered the greatest benefit to their clients, project teams and wider stakeholders.
The criteria for these categories puts emphasis on the positive contribution the project professional has made to the outputs and outcomes of their project(s) and programme(s), whilst articulating the essential project management techniques utilised in delivering success.
How will you be scored
Entrants will be scored across several criteria, including the following;
- Applicability or benefit to business and industry
- Lessons learned for future projects
- Innovations or overcoming challenges during project delivery
- Presentation to the project management community
