Association for Project Management (APM)
We’re Association for Project Management (APM). We’re a professional membership organisation that sets the standards for the project profession. As a registered charity, we reinvest our surplus for the benefit of our members and the profession. We deliver education and develop qualifications. We conduct research and provide knowledge and resources. We run events and share best practice. We give people the opportunity to connect and provide community for our individual members and corporate partners, wherever they are. Above all, when doing so makes a difference, we challenge the status quo.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for project management subject matter experts to be involved in qualification and assessment development. We'd like to hear from suitably qualified and experienced project professionals who are interested in getting involved in this area of work.

Qualifications, skills and experience

You must:

  • Hold Chartered Project Professional Status.
  • Have experience in a project professional delivery capacity (preferably within the last five years).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the areas within APM’s Competence Framework 3rd Edition and the Chartered Standard competences.
  • Knowledge and awareness of current practice and methodologies demonstrated through continued professional development.

We would like you to have:

  • A project management qualification, of a level equivalent to the PMQ or higher (Preferably an APM qualification.)
  • Experience of assessment in an education, training or mentoring capacity.
  • Experience writing qualification / assessment content.

Don't be put off if you have limited experience of writing qualification and/or assessment content. All our subject matter experts must attend the relevant training sessions before they carry out any work. Development of content is an iterative process and you'll have an APM contact providing feedback throughout.
