The Association for Project Management (APM) would like to offer its congratulations to His Majesty King Charles III on the occasion of his Coronation. With a proud history of supporting the development of the project profession across multiple sectors, APM recognises the vital role the monarchy plays in the success and prosperity of our nation at home and abroad.

As the only chartered membership organisation for the project profession, we look forward to continuing our work to deliver to the high standards our charter demands of us, so that we can carry on supporting the development of project professionals and contribute to a brighter future.

Professor Adam Boddison OBE, Chief Executive of APM, said: “On behalf of APM’s members and employees, I would like to extend warm wishes to King Charles III ahead of his official Coronation as monarch. As experts in the field of project management, we recognise the importance of strong leadership, unwavering dedication, patience, and selflessness; traits that align with the values and customs of the monarchy, including those embodied by King Charles. We join those around the world in offering him and his family our best wishes on this historic occasion.”

APM President Sue Kershaw said: “This is a significant moment in this country’s history. Having received a Royal Charter in 2017, APM is proud to be a part of a British business community that has shaped our economic and social landscape. We have always been committed to promoting the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in project, programme and portfolio management. I believe this aligns with King Charles III’s vision of a strong and prosperous nation. Furthermore, as an organisation rooted in the business culture of the United Kingdom, we are honoured to witness this occasion and to offer our best wishes to the new monarch.”

Chair of APM’s board, Milla Mazilu, added: “As well as symbolising the traditional values of unity and stability, the monarchy continues to adapt to changing circumstances, reflecting the evolving needs and expectations of the nation. As project professionals, the ability to respond to social and cultural shifts with openness and sensitivity is something we can take inspiration and learn from. Once again, we extend our sincerest congratulations to King Charles III on the occasion of his Coronation, and we look forward to a bright and prosperous future during his reign.”
