A Tour of the Royal Navy`s Capital Warship HMS York, in Dry Dock

Hosted by APM corporate member, Fleet Support Limited (FSL), at HM Naval Base Portsmouth

FSL have organised an interesting evening where you will be able to tour one of the Royal Navy's Capital warships, HMS York, which is currently being refitted and, weather permitting, tour the dry dock to view the ship from the dock bottom.

This unique event is restricted to 30 attendees and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

FSL is a 50:50 joint venture co-owned by BAE Systems and the VT Group. The company operates and maintains the facilities, logistics and engineering aspects at the Royal Navy's premier Naval Base in Portsmouth. FSL is due to be merged into a larger and new joint venture called BVT Surface Fleet Limited. This new company will bring together all of the maritime aspects of BAE Systems and VT. Online booking is not available for this event as size requirements for protective clothing and security details must be supplied at time of booking - please see over.

This event will be held at Fleet Support Limited, Main Administration Building, Postal Point 100, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, PO1 3NJ and is due to begin at 6.00pm.

Arrival Information • Due to the need for security clearance within the facility, attendees need to arrive at the Naval Base Car Park by 6 pm. • Please bring ID with you. • Due to the nature of the tour, ladies please wear trousers and avoid high heels. • Please note that all bags will be taken to a secure room at the Naval Base and left there for the duration of the tour.

The tour will regrettably not be accessible to attendees with physical disabilities.
