Herbert Walton Award - Sponsored by BAE Systems
Created in honour of one the founding members of APM, this award recognises the postgraduate dissertation written during the year at Doctorate level.

The doctoral research will add significantly to the body of project and programme management knowledge and will offer the opportunity for project and programme managers and their teams to improve performance and increase effectiveness.

Entering the Herbert Walton Award

All scoresheets can be downloaded here.

The scoresheet for this award has been devised by the academic judging panel and covers key areas such as the benefit and relevance of the research to the project management industry. 

Entering the Herbert Walton award is a one stage process that involves the submission of the full dissertation along with a summary highlighting how the work covers the areas included in the Herbert Walton Award Scoresheet. This summary should exceed no more than 2 sides of A4.

As well as the scoresheet, the submission will also be assessed in terms of:

• Clarity and succinctness
• Presentational quality
• Communication

Submissions must be accompanied with an Entrants' Cover Sheet.

Geoffrey Trimble Award - Sponsored by BAE Systems
First awarded in 2005 and named in honour of the first ever president of APM, this award is open to entrants from all industry sectors involved in master’s level study. The award recognises the best post-graduate dissertation written during the year.

Brian Willis Award - Sponsored by BAE Systems
APM presents this award to the student who has achieved the highest mark of all candidates in the past year’s APMP examination.

Entry for this award is automatic, the results being collated by the APM and then selected accordingly.
